LADIES BROWNIES LUNCHROOM

Ingredients:

1 cup melted butter
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cups regular flour
2 c. granulated sugar
four huge eggs
4 tsp. vanilla extract

1/4 cup softened butter for icing
1/4 cup milk (whole milk was used)
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3 cups granulated sugar

Lunchroom Ladies Brownies Recipe:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a 913-inch baking dish with parchment paper or foil sling.

In a large mixing basin, combine the butter and sugar. Mix in the eggs and vanilla extract until creamy. Stir in the dry ingredients until barely mixed. Avoid overmixing. The batter will be pretty thick.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smoothing it out as much as possible (it is thick), and bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If in doubt, err on the side of underbaking.

Remove the brownies from the oven and let aside for about 15 minutes. When you pour on the frosting, you want them to be warm. After removing the brownies from the oven, make the icing by whisking together all four ingredients until smooth. Spread the icing on top of the still-warm brownies. Allow to cool completely before serving.
