Pregnant waitress brings officer his meal; when he writes something on the bill, she cries.

If you’ve ever worked as a waitress, you know how physically demanding the job is and how hard you must work for your tips.

Consider doing this grueling job while nearly eight months pregnant.

Courtney English, 23, is eight months pregnant with her first child. To prepare for the birth, she works as a waitress at the Lamp Post Diner in New Jersey.

While preparing for her big arrival, the dedicated waitress is fighting to pay her bills.

She serves a local police officer while carrying her infant and smiling.

His bill is $8.75, but what he puts on it had Courtney in tears.

The industrious waitress is attempting to save as much money as she can before the arrival of her daughter.

“She’s a tough young girl,” Courtney’s father, Brian Cadigan, told USA Today.

English served a new face among her regulars on a busy Friday: a Voorhees County police officer.

When the cop came in for lunch, she served him with her customary smile, and the two engaged in some light chat.

He finished his lunch, went to the desk to pay, and then departed the restaurant.

When it came time to get the check, his bill came to $8.75. But he didn’t just leave the standard payment and tip. What he put on his bill made headlines across the country.

‘It came from the heart.’

On his receipt, the Voorhees police officer wrote, “Enjoy ur first. You’ll never forget that.” He also left her a $100 tip on his $8.75 bill.

“It came from the heart. “It truly moved her,” dad Brian remarked. “There were many moments when she got a big tip, but the tiny remark got her.”

Courtney was so distraught that she ran to her employer, sobbing. Her father published her tale on Facebook, and it instantly went viral. This generous act touched many people.

What a considerate police officer! This hardworking waitress deserves a break!
