We’re thinking of Jennifer Garner and sending our prayers after her tragic loss.

Jennifer Garner has faced some challenging years, especially following her divorce from Ben Affleck. But recently, she experienced a truly heartbreaking event.

Jennifer Garner’s father, William Garner, aged 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday. Jennifer is now mourning his loss.

On Instagram, the 51-year-old actress shared a touching moment. She revealed that as her father passed away, they were singing “Amazing Grace”. She added a lighthearted comment about whether their singing helped him on his way or just scared him.

Despite the fact that losing an 85-year-old man who lived a happy and healthy life might not seem tragic, Jennifer noted that grief can hit unexpectedly and suddenly.

Reflecting on the positive aspects of her father’s life, Garner expressed gratitude for his “gentle nature and quiet strength”.

She went on to say, “I’m grateful for how he was the perfect, patient dad and how he had a playful smile. I truly appreciate his leadership, work ethic, and faith.”

Jennifer also took a moment to thank the doctors and nurses who cared for her father during his final months.

“Your care helped Dad live longer and enjoy more time in his favorite places: with his daughters and grandchildren, cheering for his beloved Aggies, steering a boat, and most importantly, being with our mother, his wife of 59 years,” she added.

She shared these thoughts to highlight the kind and amazing man her father was, and the loving legacy he left behind. Jennifer, along with her sisters, will always remember him fondly, and she asked everyone to be patient as they share stories of his wonderful life.

Garner concluded her heartfelt message by posting some never-before-seen photos from her childhood and fun outings with her dad.

She revisited their happiest times, like enjoying picnics with watermelon and taking family photos.

Additionally, she shared a 2016 credit card commercial that featured both her and her father.

Many of Jennifer’s friends and colleagues offered their condolences. Talk show host Kelly Ripa commented, “What a lovely tribute. My condolences to you and your family.”

Fashion designer Rachel Zoe wrote, “I’m so sorry, Jen. Sending you lots of love and strength. He was the kindest, sweetest man.”

Actress Lily Collins said, “Sending you and your whole family the most love, light, and hugs.”

Eva Longoria added, “Aw babe, sending you my love and prayers for you and your family.”

Born and raised in West Virginia, Jennifer was brought up by her parents, Patricia Ann and William, along with her sisters, Susannah and Melissa.

She has often spoken about her “very public, very hard” times in life.

In January, Jennifer commemorated her parents’ wedding anniversary by posting a sweet photo with her parents in front of a flower-covered wall. She wrote a touching message: “Mum and Dad, thank you for giving my sisters and me such a secure, happy start to life,” and wished them a happy 59th anniversary.
