Horrifying Incident at Safari Park: A Tragic Tale of Bravery and Loss

Back in 2016, a heart-wrenching incident shook the world when a mother lost her life while trying to save her daughter from a tiger at Beijing’s Badaling Wildlife World. The incident, captured in a harrowing video, serves as a reminder of the risks involved when exploring the home of wild animals.

Before entering the park, visitors are required to sign an agreement acknowledging the dangers of leaving their vehicles. However, on that fateful day, the daughter named Zhao, feeling carsick, made the fatal decision to step out of the car. In the chilling footage that surfaced, Zhao can be seen checking if she was obstructing traffic.

Suddenly, a Siberian tiger pounced on Zhao, dragging her into the bushes. In a desperate attempt to save her daughter, the mother rushed to her rescue. Tragically, as she tried to fend off the tiger, another one attacked her, ultimately claiming her life. The entire incident unfolded before the eyes of the shocked family and other park visitors.

A Tale of Survival and Legal Battle

Despite the horrific ordeal, Zhao miraculously survived the tiger’s attack, albeit with severe injuries. She later revealed that the park had not adequately warned them about the lurking dangers. Unaware of the potential risks, she believed the agreement she signed was merely a registration form.

In pursuit of justice for her mother’s untimely demise, Zhao and her family filed a lawsuit against the park, contending that they had not been properly informed about the potential dangers. They also criticized a nearby park official for failing to provide assistance in their time of need.

The park, however, managed to evade responsibility for the tragic incident. Authorities in the Yanqing District released a report claiming that the incident did not fall under the category of an “industry security accident,” absolving the park of any liability.
