Stormy Daniels Testifies in Hush Money Trial

Stormy Daniels, the adult film actress, took the stand in Donald Trump’s hush money trial and shared details about her encounter with him in July 2006. Her testimony also seemed to shed light on Trump’s relationship with his wife Melania.

Daniels revealed that Trump’s bodyguard, Keith Schiller, had asked her to join Trump for dinner. Though she initially declined, her publicist convinced her to accept the invitation. She was taken to the penthouse floor where she saw Schiller and a slightly open door to Trump’s room. Inside the suite, Trump was wearing satin pajamas.

Daniels told Trump to change before they began chatting. During their conversation, he asked her about the business aspects of her work, such as unions, residuals, health insurance, and STD concerns. Their discussion about Trump and Melania was brief, with Trump mentioning that they didn’t sleep in the same room.

Interestingly, this testimony aligns with a 2018 Washington Post feature that revealed Trump and Melania did not share a bedroom. According to first lady scholar Annette Dunlap, couples occupying separate bedrooms in the White House was not uncommon in the past. In fact, it was once seen as a symbol of wealth, as only those who could afford separate beds or bedrooms would choose to do so.

This glimpse into Trump’s personal life provides further insight into the dynamics of his relationship with Melania. The trial continues to unfold, offering a deeper understanding of the events surrounding the hush money scandal.
