Television Star Dies Tragically At An Early Age

A popular young soap opera star, known for her captivating roles in ‘One Life To Live’ and ‘Another World’, has passed away at the age of forty-nine. Robyn Griggs spent her final days in hospice care and succumbed to her illness on August 13, 2022. Her father shared the heartbreaking news through a Facebook post, revealing that her life was cut short due to cervical cancer.

Despite her courageous battle against cancer, Robyn disclosed in July that the disease had spread, and her condition was worsening. She provided an update on her Facebook page, sharing:

“Hi, I have an update, unfortunately. I have four new tumors. Two new tumors on my liver, one on the abdominal muscle and a large one on the right side lymph node. So in pain, and I go to chemo Monday am. I told them whatever it takes. I’m in for the fight. I’ll be very sore, nauseous, etc., but who knows, maybe it works and relieves some pain. You never know. Please keep those prayers coming. Hugs to all!!!”

The official announcement of her passing was made on August 13, 2022. Her father posted on her Facebook page to inform fans and asked them to keep her memory alive:

“With a heavy heart, I am saddened to announce Robyn’s passing. However, she is no longer suffering and would want us to remember that and the good memories. I will never forget how open she was to telling her story and accepting of me helping her tell it. She wanted to help people and spread the word about her story to do it. I was honored to do so. RIP, my friend. I love you and smile when I think of you.”

Just two days before her death, a Facebook post announced that Robyn had entered hospice care so she could spend her final days in comfort and peace:

“It is with deep sadness that we share the news from Robyn’s Father that Robyn will enter hospice care today or tomorrow. She has fought with determination, strength, and grace that is nothing short of inspirational. Please continue to keep Robyn and her family in your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.”

Robyn Griggs was born on April 30, 1973, in Tunkhannock, PA. She began her television career on Nickelodeon’s ‘Rated K’, a show where young people reviewed films from 1986 to 1988.
