Widow of Hero Killed at Trump Rally Shares Touching Phone Call with Donald Trump

The tragic incident that occurred at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania, where a young man opened fire, targeting President Donald Trump, has left the nation in shock. Corey Comperatore, a 50-year-old volunteer fire chief from Sarver, Pennsylvania, made the ultimate sacrifice to protect his family during the shooting. His heroic act has been widely praised, with his daughter, Allyson, expressing her gratitude on social media.

Recently, Corey’s widow, Helen Comperatore, shared her heartfelt phone call with former President Donald Trump. In a Facebook post, she revealed that Trump was kind and promised to support her in the days and weeks to come. Helen believes that her husband’s death was not in vain and emphasized his heroism, stating that he left this world as a hero, welcomed by God.

In contrast, Helen declined a call from President Joe Biden, explaining that her husband was a devoted Republican, and it was unlikely he would have wanted her to speak with Biden. Despite this, Helen holds no ill will towards President Biden but firmly places the responsibility for her husband’s death on the 20-year-old shooter. She emphasized that the shooter, not President Biden, is to blame.

The Comperatore family attended the Trump rally to show their support for the former president. Corey’s final words, “Get down,” were a testament to his bravery as he shielded his family from the gunfire. President Joe Biden expressed his condolences to the Comperatore family, recognizing Corey as a father who lost his life while protecting his loved ones. In a statement from the White House, President Biden said, “He was protecting his family from the bullets that were being fired, and he lost his life. God love him.”
