A Humorous Tale of Gift-Giving
Once upon a time, a loving husband asked his wife what gift she would like for her upcoming birthday. And to his surprise, she replied, “A giraffe!”
Amused by his wife’s request, the husband chuckled and said, “Darling, let’s be realistic. Where on earth would I find a giraffe? Please ask for something that I can actually give you.”
Without missing a beat, the wife responded, “Well then, how about giving up drinking? That would be a gift I can happily accept.”
And so, the husband decided to fulfill his wife’s request and made a promise to give up drinking. Little did he know, his wife had a mischievous plan in store.
The Unexpected Twist
On her birthday, the husband received a phone call from his wife while he was at the club. Excitedly, she shared that she was at the mall nearby and had spotted a stunning mink coat.
Eager to please his wife, the husband asked about the price. “Only $1,500.00,” she replied.
Without hesitation, the husband agreed, saying, “Well, alright then. If you love it, go ahead and get it.”
But the surprises didn’t end there. His wife continued, “Oh, and I also dropped by the Mercedes dealership. They have a 2001 model that I really liked. The salesman gave me a great price. Since we need to exchange the BMW we bought last year…”
Curious, the husband inquired, “What price did he quote you?”
“Only $60,000,” his wife responded.
Without skipping a beat, the husband gave his consent, “Sure, but make sure it comes with all the options at that price.”
Still not finished, the wife dropped another bombshell. “By the way, while I was reconciling our bank account, I stopped by the real estate agent and saw the house we had looked at last year. It’s on sale! Remember? The one with a pool, English Garden, an acre of park area, and beachfront property…”
Intrigued, the husband asked, “How much are they asking?”
“Only $450,000,” his wife revealed, “and coincidentally, we have exactly that amount in our bank account.”
Without hesitation, the husband made his final decision, “Well, go ahead and buy it. But make a bid of $420,000, alright?”
Overwhelmed by the extravagant requests, the husband bid his wife farewell and declared his love. When he hung up the phone, he realized something was amiss. He turned to the crowd around him and asked, “Does anyone know whose phone this is?”
