The father-son duo, accompanied by Cruise’s sister, Lee Ann Mapother DeVette, arrived at the AMC Movie Theater. This outing comes after Cruise has been busy promoting his upcoming film, “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One,” set to be released on July 12, 2023.
Cruise opted for a simple yet stylish outfit, donning a black button-up shirt, dark jeans, and leather shoes. He accessorized with a chunky silver watch and his signature aviator sunglasses. Connor also kept it casual, wearing a gray t-shirt, dark gray pants, and white chunky sneakers, with a black backpack. DeVette added a pop of color to the group with her white jeans, white button-up shirt, bright pink jersey vest, white sneakers, and a big black handbag.
This public outing is not the first for Cruise and his son. They have been seen together at various events, including front-row seats at a Dodgers game in Los Angeles, California. Cruise shares Connor and his daughter Isabella with his ex-wife, Nicole Kidman, and after their divorce, the children chose to stay with their father.
Kidman, who has always been private about her relationship with her children, expressed her support and love for them in an interview. She revealed that Connor and Isabella had made their own choices to be Scientologists, the same religion as Cruise, and as a mother, she respects their decisions.
As for Cruise’s relationship with his 17-year-old daughter Suri, whom he shares with ex-wife Katie Holmes, it seems to be estranged. Reports suggest that Cruise has not seen Suri in many years.
In 2012, during a deposition for a defamation case, Cruise mentioned that his divorce from Holmes had changed things and that it was not an ideal situation. While Cruise has never publicly divulged the details of his strained relationship with Suri, it is believed that his loyalty to the Scientology church, which forbids relationships with non-members, plays a significant role.
Domingo, a former member of the Scientology church, shed some light on this matter. She indicated that Cruise was not allowed to be in Suri’s life because she was not part of the church. However, a spokesperson for the church denied these claims, stating that Domingo had misrepresented the values and practices of Scientology.
