Leading up to the Super Bowl kickoff, fans were excited to hear Reba McEntire’s rendition of the national anthem. And she definitely didn’t disappoint. But when it came to Post Malone’s performance of ‘America the Beautiful,’ many didn’t know what to expect.
With his unique style and numerous facial tattoos, the 10-time Grammy-nominated superstar took the stage at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas ahead of the 2024 Super Bowl. And looking back on it now, it’s safe to say that Post Malone did an excellent job.
On social media, many people are expressing that Post Malone delivered one of the best versions of ‘America the Beautiful’ they have ever heard. Dressed in blue jeans and a white shirt layered beneath a brown blazer, the 28-year-old rapper strummed his guitar with reverence throughout the performance.
“One of the best versions of America the Beautiful I’ve ever heard,” one user commented. Another added, “Holy s**t, Post Malone might have just sung the best version of America the Beautiful I have ever heard.”
“Wow. Post Malone’s version of America the Beautiful was the best I have ever heard,” a third user exclaimed. And a fourth agreed, tweeting, “Post Malone just blew my mind by singing the best version of America the Beautiful I have ever heard.”
Post Malone’s talent and authenticity have gained him a loyal following. Unlike many celebrities, he values his privacy and prefers to keep his personal life out of the spotlight. In a recent interview with CR Fashion Book, he spoke about the importance of maintaining privacy in the modern world.
“I feel like a lot of people feel entitled to know every single detail of everyone’s life, and that’s why I don’t want to post any pictures of my baby,” Malone shared. “I want her to be able to make that decision whenever she wants to and is ready. We live in such an interestingly semi-connected world where everybody is a phone call away, but you lose a lot of the intricacies and nuance of being with the person and seeing what’s actually happening.”
Malone believes in being in control of sharing his family news with the world. He didn’t publicly announce the birth of his daughter and instead casually mentioned it in a conversation with Howard Stern in June 2022. When confronted about keeping his daughter a secret, Malone said, “I want to let her make her own decisions.”
The identity of Malone’s fiancée and mother of his daughter remains unknown as he has never disclosed her name to the public. It wasn’t until summer 2023 that Malone revealed he had proposed to his longtime girlfriend, and she initially said no!
According to Malone, the proposal took place in Las Vegas two years earlier after he had lost a significant amount of money at the table. “We go upstairs, and I’m off my rocker hammered, and I was like, ‘Hey, you wanna marry me?’ I got a ring and all this stuff. And she said, ‘no.’ She’s like, ‘Ask me tomorrow,’ and I was like, ‘Alright.’ And then I did, and I was sober, and it was nice.”
