But it didn’t go viral because of the similarities it shared with Beyoncé. In fact, people were perplexed at how much it looked like another celebrity.
After Madame Tussauds Blackpool revealed an image of their newest wax figure on Instagram, the comments started pouring in. One person wrote, “This is nice, but this is not Beyoncé.” Another commenter questioned why the museum would even display a figure that clearly didn’t resemble the iconic singer. And one user hilariously pointed out that the figure looked more like Leah Remini, from the show “King of Queens,” than the actual Beyoncé.
Even Leah Remini herself joined in on the conversation and seemed to find the whole situation amusing. She responded to everyone’s reaction to the wax figure by saying, “I am screaming! And loving all the tweets! This perimenopausal woman will take any and all comparisons to the beautiful Beyoncé!” It’s great to see Remini’s lighthearted and positive response to the mix-up.
This isn’t the first time a wax museum has missed the mark on creating an accurate replica.
