Sitting and Doing Nothing

Once upon a time, a crow was perched on a tree, enjoying a lazy day. It was sitting there, doing absolutely nothing. Along came a small rabbit and saw the crow. Curious, the rabbit approached the crow and asked, “Can I also sit like you and do nothing all day long?”

The crow, feeling generous, replied, “Sure, why not.” So, the rabbit settled itself on the ground beneath the crow and relaxed. Little did they know, a cunning fox was lurking nearby, watching their every move.

Suddenly, the fox pounced on the unsuspecting rabbit and devoured it in one gulp. The crow, observing the tragic turn of events, understood the lesson to be learned.

The moral of the story: If you’re going to sit and do nothing, make sure you’re sitting very, very high up. Otherwise, you might become an easy target for those who are always on the prowl.

In a completely different scenario, a lady opened her refrigerator and was surprised to find a rabbit sitting on one of the shelves. She couldn’t help but ask, “What are you doing in there?”

“To be precise,” the rabbit replied, “I am ‘westing’.” Bewildered, the lady inquired further, “This is a Westinghouse, isn’t it?”

With a cheeky grin, the rabbit confirmed her suspicion, “Yes, it is.” And with that, the rabbit continued its act of ‘westing,’ amusing both itself and the lady.

This tale serves as a reminder that sometimes we all need a little bit of silliness in our lives, even if it means sitting in a refrigerator.
