Little Johnny is at it again with his mischievous behavior! This time, his teacher catches him pulling faces at another child during lunchtime rounds. With a stern expression, she begins to scold little Johnny, warning him about the consequences of making ugly faces. She tells him that when she was a young girl, she was told that if the wind changed while she made an ugly face, her face would remain that way.
Instead of being frightened by her words, little Johnny cheekily looks up at his teacher and responds, “Well miss, you can’t say that you weren’t warned!” It seems like his sense of humor cannot be dampened, even in the face of discipline.
But that’s not all – little Johnny’s curiosity doesn’t end there. One day, while taking a shower with his mother, he notices something unusual. Pointing at her chest, he innocently asks, “Mom, what are those things?”
Caught off guard and unsure of how to respond, his mother quickly tells him to ask his father about it during breakfast the next day, hoping that little Johnny would forget about it.
However, little Johnny has a great memory, and the following morning, he poses the same question to his father. Always ready with an answer, his dad replies, “Why Johnny, those are balloons. When your mommy passes away, we can blow them up, and she’ll float to heaven.”
Little Johnny finds this concept fascinating and doesn’t ask any further questions. He accepts his father’s explanation and moves on with his curious nature.
Several weeks later, something unexpected happens. Little Johnny’s dad comes home from work earlier than usual. As soon as Johnny sees his father, tears streaming down his face, he rushes out of the house in a state of panic. Fearful for his mother’s safety, he cries out, “Daddy! Daddy! Mommy’s dying!”
Surprised and concerned, his father tries to calm him down and asks why he thinks mommy is dying. Through his sobs, little Johnny manages to explain, “Uncle Harry is blowing up Mommy’s balloons, and she’s screaming, ‘Oh God, I’m coming!’”
Despite the chaos and innocent misunderstandings, it’s clear that little Johnny’s playful nature brings laughter and memorable moments to his family’s life.
