Country music legend Darius Rucker has recently found himself in a bit of trouble. According to TMZ, Rucker was arrested in Tennessee on a minor drug offense. The arrest took place on Thursday.
TMZ reports that Rucker was charged with three misdemeanors. His mugshot has been released and can be seen below.
In an update from his attorney, Mark Puryear, it was revealed that Rucker is fully cooperating with authorities regarding the misdemeanor charges.
The official charges against Rucker include “two counts of simple possession/casual exchange of a controlled substance and one count of a violation of the state’s vehicle registration law.”
Rucker was taken into custody around 1 PM EST but was released on bail after about an hour. According to TMZ, he is no longer in custody.
