Living on the Same Street: The Charming Village of Sułoszowa

Living in a village or a small town can bring a charming feel to life. It’s the kind of place where people know each other by their first names, where there is a gathering spot, and where you can find essential services like a post office, funeral directors, and a store. It’s a close-knit community that many of us seem to enjoy. However, have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in a town where everyone resides on the same street?

Believe it or not, such a place exists in Europe, specifically in Sułoszowa, located in southern Poland. This unique village has gained fame on Twitter due to a captivating aerial photo that revealed all 6,000 residents living along a single nine-kilometer stretch of street. It’s quite something!

Dubbed as “Little Tuscany” because of its setup, Sułoszowa is a picturesque village. According to CSO Poland, in 2017, the village had 5,819 residents, all residing on this extraordinary street. Each house on the street comes with a long piece of land, allowing residents to use it for various purposes like farming or keeping animals.

When the unique and beautiful aerial photos of Sułoszowa started circulating, its residents took the opportunity to share what it’s really like living there. One resident expressed, “I wouldn’t swap this place for anything else. It has a unique charm and vibe. There’s something special about it.” Another resident commented on how the whole area looks similar, with each house having its strip of field. The various crops and colors create a stunning view when seen from above.

The curiosity surrounding Sułoszowa didn’t stop there. A picture supposedly shared on Reddit sparked a question about the stretches of land extending from the village. Do they belong to each house on the street? According to someone who shared the insight of their Polish friend, each house on the street indeed has its piece of land to use as they please. This explains the different colors seen in the aerial photos, with some houses growing crops, others raising animals, and some choosing to leave their land as is.
