Disturbing Steven Tyler Health Update at 75 Confirms the Rumors – And It’s What We Feared

Steven Tyler

This week, Aerosmith had to cancel six of their final tour dates, Peace Out: The Farewell Tour, disappointing the tens of thousands of fans eager to see Steven Tyler. The lead singer of Aerosmith, Steven Tyler, announced in an Instagram post that his doctors have advised him to stop singing for the next 30 days due to severe damage to his vocal cords. This news confirms the rumors that have been circulating about his health.

“I’m heartbroken to say that I have received strict doctor’s orders not to sing for the next thirty days,” Tyler said in his statement. “I sustained vocal cord damage during Saturday’s show that led to subsequent bleeding. We’ll need to postpone a few dates so that we can come back and give you the performance you deserve.”

The September 12 Toronto event, along with the September 15 Chicago show, the September 18 Detroit show, the September 21 Raleigh show, and the September 27 Washington D.C. show have all been postponed until early 2024. But don’t worry, all previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled dates, and refunds will be available for those unable to attend.

Peace Out: The Farewell Tour was originally scheduled to consist of 40 dates between September 2 (Philadelphia) and January 26 (Montreal). However, with the recent postponements, the tour will now finish at a later date. According to the latest reports, Aerosmith will begin touring again on Monday, October 11.

It’s commendable that the band has decided to give their legion of fans one final tour, considering the respective ages of its members. Steven Tyler turned 75 years old in March, and one can only imagine the toll the rigors of a 40-show tour might take on his body. But it’s hardly surprising that he’s willing to go the extra mile, given the selfless character he’s exhibited in the past.

In 2019, the Aerosmith frontman helped establish “Janie’s House,” a home for abused and neglected girls. He even donated $500,000 towards the renovation of an 82-acre building located just outside of Memphis. Named after Aerosmith’s hit 1989 song “Janie’s Got a Gun,” the house aims to provide a safe space for women who have nowhere else to go.

Let’s hope Steven Tyler can get back on his feet and doing what he does best quickly! We’re sending positive thoughts and wishing him a speedy recovery.
