Tragic End to Search: 10-Month-Old Baby Found Dead Near Still-Living Father After 36-Hour Search

Just one day after an Amber Alert was issued, the search for missing 10-month-old Zeke Best ended in tragedy. Reports reveal that the baby’s body was discovered in an area east of Idaho Falls, Idaho, after a hunter spotted a man in a sleeping bag on the roadside.

Authorities have identified the man as Jeremy Albert Best, who was wanted in connection with the Amber Alert and suspected of kidnapping Zeke in Teton County. The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office found Best’s car in an embankment and tragically discovered baby Zeke dead at the scene.

The unfolding events leading up to the tragic discovery are equally distressing. Earlier in the week, Best had caused alarm when he was seen walking naked through a store. Surprisingly, he was released from mental health screening just hours before allegedly murdering his wife, Kali Jean Randall, 38, and abducting Zeke.

After Kali’s body was found on Thursday evening, an urgent search was launched to locate Best and Zeke. Sadly, authorities located Zeke’s body in close proximity to his still-living father on Saturday morning.

Best is currently held in custody at Bonneville County Jail on the arrest warrant related to his wife’s death. He will remain there until his arraignment.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office expressed condolences to the victims’ family and emphasized that the investigation is still ongoing. The public has been deeply affected by this heart-wrenching story, expressing their sorrow over the loss of baby Zeke and the distressing circumstances surrounding his death.

Our thoughts are with the family during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Kali and Zeke
