Crescents with Sausage Cream Cheese

These are delicious and easy to make. I occasionally add a cup of sharp cheddar cheese to the mixture. In any case, it’s fantastic!
You can’t eat just one of these sausage rolls.

The crescent rolls are soft and flaky, wrapped around a creamy and cheesy sausage mouthful. These are savory appetizers, but they would also make a fantastic morning treat. They are also really simple to prepare.

This dish is created with sausage, cream cheese, and crescent roll dough. If you have a busy morning, bake it at night and simply cut and reheat parts in the microwave the next morning.

This is a recipe I’ve had for years. It was given to me by coworkers at my second job in The ‘Ham. You can make them as individual servings, as I do, or spread out one can of rolls and top with the sausage mixture, followed by the second can of rolls. I enjoy the individual rolls since I can eat more of them!

16 oz cooked and crumbled bulk sausage (any flavor)
8 oz softened cream cheese 2 can(s) refrigerated crescent rolls
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (or any other type of cheese)

Directions

  1. Combine cooked sausage, cream cheese, and shredded cheese.
  2. Cut the rolls into triangles.
  3. Cut the eat triangle lengthwise in half.
  4. Scoop a generous scoop of the mixture onto each roll.
  5. Roll up your sleeves.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes at 375°F, or until golden brown.
