1 cup pecans, chopped
7 tbsp unsweetened butter
granulated sugar, 1/3 cup
1 pound brown sugar
2 eggs
a tbsp pure vanilla extract
2 cups regular flour
a half teaspoon baking soda
a dash of salt
Each cookie has a pecan half on top.
Making Butter Pecan Cookies
Preheat the oven to 350°F and line two baking pans with parchment paper.
Next, using an electric mixer, combine the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. The combination is light and creamy.
Then whisk in the eggs and vanilla essence for another 2 minutes. Immediately add the flour, baking soda, and salt and mix well.
When finished, use a medium spatula to arrange the balls on the prepared baking paper and top each with half a pecan. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
