Ingredients
2 prepared crescent roll dough tubes
8 oz. room temperature cream cheese
2 tbsp unsalted and melted butter
1 teaspoon lemon juice
14 cup brown sugar, light
12 cup white granulated sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Glaze:
12 cup confectioners’ sugar
4 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Using parchment paper, line a baking sheet.
Do not unroll the crescent roll dough tubes after opening them.
In a medium mixing bowl, blend the cream cheese, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and granulated sugar until well incorporated.
Cut 12″ to 34″ thick crescent roll slices using a sharp knife. Do not unroll it again.
Place each of these slices on the parchment-lined baking sheets.
Make a tiny upraised edge on the dough with your fingers with each slice. This will keep the filler in place.
Combine the melted butter and light brown sugar in a small mixing dish.
Evenly distribute the filling onto each slice.
Bake for 15–17 minutes, or until golden brown.
Whisk together the confectioners’ sugar, vanilla, and milk in a separate small dish.
Drizzle each cheese Danish with the glaze.
The Danish can then be topped with your favorite fruit or enjoyed on its own.
Enjoy!
