1 pound butter
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
A tsp vanilla extract
3 cups oats, rapid cooking
1 cup chocolate chips, semisweet
1 pound peanut butter
No-Bake Chocolate Oat Bars Recipe:
Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Combine the brown sugar and vanilla essence in a mixing bowl. Include the oats. Cook on low heat for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the ingredients are fully mixed. Half of the mixture should be pressed into the prepared pan’s bottom. Save the remaining half for garnishing.
Meanwhile, melt chocolate chips and peanut butter in a small heavy saucepan over low heat, stirring often until smooth. Spread the chocolate mixture evenly over the crust in the pan using a knife or the back of a spoon.
Crumble the leftover oat mixture over the chocolate layer and gently press it in. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours or overnight. Allow to come to room temperature before cutting into bars.
