Lisa Marie Presley, the musician and only daughter of rock and roll pioneer Elvis Presley, died after being transferred to a hospital in the Los Angeles region, according to her mother. Lisa Marie Presley was Elvis Presley’s only child.
“I must relay the devastating news that my beloved daughter Lisa Marie has departed us,” Priscilla Presley said. “It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that my beloved daughter Lisa Marie has left us.”
“She was the most passionate, strong, and loving woman I have ever known,” Priscilla Presley remarked.
“We beg privacy as we try to come to grips with this huge loss.”
Her mother did not reveal any information concerning the possible causes of death.
Presley, 54, died after a heart attack at her home in the Los Angeles suburb of Calabasas, according to the website TMZ.
According to the news outlet, paramedics conducted cardiopulmonary resuscitation and injected the chemical epinephrine to restart her heartbeat.
Lisa Marie Presley was born in 1968 and inherited her father’s Memphis estate, Graceland. Graceland is a well-known tourist destination. She was only nine years old when Elvis Presley died at Graceland in 1977.
Her debut album, To Whom It May Concern, was released in 2003, marking the beginning of her solo musical career. They released “Now What” in 2005, and both albums debuted in the top ten on the Billboard 200 album chart.
“Storm and Grace,” the band’s third studio album, was released in 2012.
The celebrity was also known for a string of high-profile weddings, including that of pop legend Michael Jackson, actor Nicholas Cage, and singers Danny Keough and Michael Lockwood.
She had three daughters, one of whom became the well-known actress Riley Keough. Benjamin Keough, Elvis Presley’s son, died in the year 2020.
Austin Butler received the Golden Globe for best actor in a drama film for his performance in the Elvis biography released last year. Lisa Marie and Priscilla Presley attended the presentation on Tuesday in Beverly Hills.
Butler thanked both women and told them, “I love you forever,” during his acceptance speech for the honor.
