I Refuse to Raise Another Baby, So I Threw My Pregnant 16-Year-Old Daughter Out of My Home

When I was 16, I had my daughter, and it completely turned my life upside down. I didn’t have any support, and it was incredibly tough. Fast forward to now, and my daughter is 16 and pregnant too. Unlike my situation, the baby’s father is not around, and she wants us to bring up the baby together. Quite frankly, at 32, I am in no position to raise another child.

I told her she cannot keep the baby because I’m simply not ready to start raising another child. She was adamant about keeping the baby, so I made the difficult decision to put her belongings outside, even though I knew she had no place to go.

When I returned home, I noticed several valuable items were missing. She had taken my gold earrings, the small amount of cash I had saved, and even some of our kitchen appliances she could sell. She left me a letter explaining that because I had kicked her out while she’s still underage, she was taking what she felt was her ‘right’ to begin her new life with her baby.

Days have passed without hearing from her. A friend of hers informed me that she’s okay and has managed to rent a flat. I am at a loss for what to do next. This whole situation has left me incredibly confused.
