Voters in the battleground state of Arizona will play a crucial role in today’s election, but they may also face long waits.
Maricopa County, in particular, is expecting long lines at polling stations due to the two-page, double-sided ballot that voters have to go through.
Maricopa voters will have to make decisions on 79 different contests (the number depending on their legislative district).
On top of that, there are 13 statewide ballot measures for Arizonans to vote on, in addition to the White House, Senate, House, and state legislative races.

While President Joe Biden played a limited role in the Harris campaign’s final weeks, first lady Jill Biden actively campaigned on Harris’ behalf.
Since early October, Jill Biden has held more than two dozen campaign events in all seven battleground states. She has specifically targeted suburban women on issues such as education, lowering costs, and reproductive rights.

After months of relentless campaigning, both Trump and Harris will take a more low-key approach today before joining their supporters in the evening.
Trump is expected to vote in Florida before attending a watch party at the Palm Beach Convention Center.
Harris will be at her alma mater, Howard University in Washington, D.C., tonight to attend a watch party. She will also be doing radio interviews during the day.
Today, they will be focused on watching the votes come in and waiting for the results.

The small town of Dixville Notch in New Hampshire, known for its midnight voting tradition, saw a tie in votes for Harris and Trump.
In this election, there are only six registered voters in Dixville Notch. The polls opened at midnight and closed at 12:07 a.m. ET after all voters cast their ballots.
This town has a long-standing tradition of being the first in the state to cast their votes, and they have been doing so since 1960. The results are announced shortly after the polls close.
In the 2020 general election, Joe Biden won all five of the votes cast in Dixville Notch. In the 2024 Republican primary, six votes were cast for former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, and none were cast for Trump.
