Pelosi Reveals Biden Campaign Drama, Denies Pressing Him to Exit: The No Holds Barred Story

Pelosi on if everything’s ‘OK’ between her and Biden: ‘You’d have to ask him’

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that she is unsure about how Biden feels about their relationship, but nonetheless praised his accomplishments during his presidency.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi spoke to a group of reporters about what led to President Biden dropping out of the race, admitting that the president did not have a “path to victory.”

“Now I was really asking for a better campaign. We did not have a campaign that was on the path to victory. Members knew that in their districts,” Pelosi told reporters, according to the Washington Post.

Isn’t it just a tad bit dramatic when high-profile politicians speak their minds candidly? You have to give it to Nancy Pelosi for not holding back. Our former House Speaker drew back the curtain to reveal the theatrical chaos behind President Biden’s abrupt exit from the race, in a chat that’s already the subject of water-cooler whisperings.

With characteristic bluntness (and perhaps a side of cooldown nostalgia), Pelosi boldly admitted that Team Biden just wasn’t road-tripping to victory town. In her own words, the campaign wasn’t “on the path to victory,” which, translation: “This ship is doomed, folks!”

According to Pelosi, she and some other Democratic top dogs had a few quiet conversations with President Biden after his slightly lackluster debate with Donald Trump back in June. The whispers of “Hey, maybe it’s time to hang up the gloves” likely echoed through quite a few corridors in Washington.

Now, Pelosi isn’t saying she outright demanded Biden exit stage left. Oh no! When asked directly, she skillfully dodged that bullet: “I won’t answer that question.” Ah, classic political maneuvering. Well played, Nancy.

Ever the candid storyteller, Pelosi hilariously described how she warned Biden against participating in the debate, claiming Trump would turn it into “doggy doo.” Oh, the imagery! But Biden, exuding confidence, chose to march on stage. Pelosi watched, shock-struck by what unfolded. “I mean, I was shocked the night of the debate…I didn’t see it.” Ouch.

In her critique, Pelosi didn’t spare Biden’s team either. Speaking to “The New Yorker,” she admitted, “I’ve never been that impressed with his political operation.” Wow! While they might have bagged the White House, Pelosi’s radar was already picking up frantic signals. “Bravo,” indeed, but her concern lay in the team’s future performance. The candid truth grenades just kept dropping!

Does political drama affect friendships? You bet! Pelosi shared the heart-wrenching toll the July political bedlam took on her bond with Biden. Describing the close-knit friendship they enjoyed, Pelosi reminisced, “We pray together. I cry over it, I lose sleep…” Ugh, someone grab the tissues.

Ever the open book, Pelosi didn’t sugarcoat that she and Biden haven’t spoken since his departure announcement. When grilled by CNN’s Dana Bash, Pelosi simply said, “No, I have not.” The suspense was palpable when Bash tried to unravel if things were cool between the two. Pelosi’s response, “You’d have to ask him,” leaves us hanging in the curiosity abyss.

So there you have it – the raw, unvarnished voyage of Pelosi’s reflections on Biden’s tumultuous swan song from the race. What a tale of political intrigue, loyalty, and high-stakes drama!
