Trump Campaign Dismisses Left’s Criticism of JD Vance as ‘Absurd’

Trump Campaign Says Left Attacks Vance Because He ‘Scares the Hell Out of Them’

The Trump campaign is standing firmly behind JD Vance amidst criticism over his past comments about women. Trump’s co-campaign manager, Chris LaCivita, spoke on ‘The Brian Kilmeade Show’ to reassure that their campaign is fighting for working women and that Vance represents these efforts perfectly.

LaCivita addressed remarks regarding Vance’s views on tax breaks for parents, clarifying that Vance supports the child care tax credit, a long-time benefit for many families. He argued that the attacks were attempts by the opposition to misrepresent Vance’s stance and to stir controversy.

LaCivita said, “There are a million different interpretations out there, and it’s been taken out of context. JD Vance believes that people with children should receive certain tax breaks, which has long been called the child care tax credit. Now, the opposition is criticizing something that has been a law for years. We are here fighting for the working women and the middle class, and that scares the opposition.”

When asked by Brian Kilmeade if the campaign was against childless women, LaCivita responded firmly, “No, that’s absurd. JD was the best pick for VP. The President loves him, we love him, and he’s a crucial part of this campaign. We’re thrilled to have him.”

Former President Trump, in a recent Fox News interview, echoed LaCivita’s sentiments, describing an ‘automatic chemistry’ with Vance. He mentioned that early disagreements were simply misunderstandings before they got to know each other better.

“Originally, JD was probably not for me, but he didn’t know me,” Trump explained. “Once we got to know each other, he became one of my strongest supporters. We shared a common purpose of fighting for the workers, and we clicked instantly.”

Trump acknowledged that Vance was an early critic of his during the 2016 campaign but noted that their relationship has since transformed into a strong alliance.

It’s evident that the Trump campaign is confident in their choice of JD Vance as a running mate and dismisses the criticism from the left as a strategic move out of fear and misinformation.
