The medical team immediately took her to the operating room to relieve pressure and address her injury. Although they were able to resuscitate her during surgery, doctors informed the family that her chances of recovery were extremely slim.
Prior to the accident, Lucy had expressed a strong desire to be with God. Just a month earlier, she spoke to her parents about wanting to be saved and live with God.
