When you’re constantly in the spotlight, looking your absolute best all the time can be a challenge. A-list celebrities are expected to meet impossible standards, but it’s important to remember that they’re human beings just like the rest of us.
Even when celebrities do look objectively good, there are always people ready to voice concerns or air harsh opinions. Sadly, that comes with the territory of fame, but it’s not necessarily fair.
But not all discussions about their relationship are positive. Recently, Affleck, J-Lo, and Affleck’s son Samuel attended an NBA game, and online sleuths couldn’t help but notice something different about Ben’s appearance.
The 51-year-old star opted for a casual look, wearing jeans, a flannel shirt, and a navy blue jacket. Yet online commenters were quick to express their opinion that he looked “different” somehow.
Ben Affleck, a renowned actor who has dominated the entertainment industry for two decades, knows all about the fickleness of fans. With his recent reunion with former flame Jennifer Lopez, the two have become the subject of news headlines worldwide, discussing the ins and outs of their romance.
Some fans speculated that it was because he was clean-shaven, while others pointed out that he seemed happier than usual, flashing smiles and enjoying the evening with his wife.
“Affleck is unrecognizable,” one fan wrote on Instagram.
“Ben looks so different, looks nothing like him at all,” chimed in another.
“Is that Ben Affleck?” someone asked.
“Ben shaved, wow he looks totally different,” added a fourth.
While most of the comments seemed to come from a positive place, there were less flattering remarks as well. Some social media users even blamed Jennifer Lopez for Ben’s altered appearance, suggesting that she had drained the life out of him.
“Who is older, Ben or Jen? She is sucking out his youth,” wrote one person.
“Ben aged like 10 years with J-Lo,” another claimed.
It’s not the first time that people have tried to pick apart Affleck and Lopez’s relationship. However, J-Lo herself has put those rumors to bed, assuring the world that she and her husband are doing just fine.
