Lori Laughlin Opens Up About Life After the College Admission Scandal

It has been five years since the highly-publicized college admissions scandal that shook the nation. Now, Lori Loughlin, best known for her role in Full House, is making a remarkable comeback with her cover interview for First for Women Magazine. We’ve all been in positions where we need forgiveness, but it’s equally important to know how to offer forgiveness as well.” Loughlin draws on her own childhood experiences, explaining that her family never held grudges and always emphasized letting go of negativity. “No one is perfect, and we all make mistakes,” she shares. “For the sake of our emotional well-being, we have to learn to let go of negativity.”

When asked about her strategy for overcoming challenges, Loughlin emphasizes perseverance. “As an actress, I face rejection often, but I’ve learned to stay true to myself and push forward, despite any negativity,” she states. In 2020, Loughlin and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, pleaded guilty to charges including wire and mail fraud for their involvement in the scandal. Loughlin served a two-month prison sentence, while Giannulli received a five-month sentence. Since then, Loughlin has been gradually reintegrating herself into the entertainment industry. She reprised her role in When Hope Calls: A Country Christmas and has appeared in TV films such as Fall Into Winter and A Christmas Blessing.
