If you pay close attention, you can find drama in any place, and airports are no exception. Recently, a 21-year-old woman experienced quite a scene when she tried to board a plane wearing only a bikini. Unfortunately, she was denied access at the gate, even after explaining herself.
This woman, Kine-Chan, is a Brazilian model and cosplayer. It’s important to note that she wasn’t just casually wearing a bikini, she was actually dressed in a costume as Rebecca from the anime series, Cyberpunk: Engerunners (2022). She had a black bikini, a blue wig, and black sandals as part of her unique attire.
She was on her way to an event and decided to dress up as her favorite character for the occasion. However, when she arrived at Navegantes Airport in Brazil, the authorities stopped her, deeming her clothing inappropriate for boarding the flight.
Frustrated by the situation, Chan took to Instagram to share her experience. In her post, she explained, “A very annoying situation happened this weekend. I tried to board at Navegantes airport dressed as Rebecca’s Cosplay for an event. I already knew that I could be late, so I was dressed so as not to waste time and could go straight to my room. But I was told to go home and change clothes because the one I was wearing was not ‘appropriate’.”
Fans quickly came to Chan’s defense in the comment section of her Instagram post. While some felt she may have taken it too far, others fully supported her decision to dress up as her beloved character.
Undoubtedly, traveling by plane can be a stressful experience, and in this case, it turned into an unexpected ordeal for Chan. Despite being denied access at the gate, she still managed to grab her 10 seconds of fame.
