Walmart Pulls Shirt with Hidden Swear Word

Walmart recently made a decision to remove a certain shirt from its stores due to a controversial hidden message that caused quite a stir online. Despite the fact that the shirt wasn’t intentionally designed to be offensive, a tweet showcasing the shirt’s hidden word went viral and garnered over 2.7 million views.

Twitter user @whosurdaddienow posted a photo of the shirt, accompanied by the caption, “I need this shirt before Walmart realizes what they’ve done. Find the hidden word.” The tweet quickly gained traction and ultimately led to Walmart taking action by removing the shirt from their stores.

Upon first glance, the T-shirt appeared to have a harmless green message with the capitalized letters ‘RE’, followed by the lowercase suffixes ‘cycle’, ‘use’, ‘new’, and ‘think’. However, when these letters were put together, they spelled out one of the most offensive words in the English language.

According to the New York Post, Walmart acknowledged their mistake and promptly removed the shirt from their shelves. They stated, “This was not intentional, and the T-shirt has been removed.” If you still have your heart set on getting this shirt, you can find similar ones on Amazon, although they are priced at four times the original cost!

While some social media users had a good laugh over the shirt’s hidden message, not everyone shared the same sentiment. Some questioned why people were making such a big deal out of it, while others couldn’t help but notice the offensive word and wondered why the letters weren’t rearranged.
