Life can have its share of challenges, and sometimes, you need to look past them to find true happiness. Deyvion is a perfect example of this. His life started on a difficult note, but his story is one of resilience.
Deyvion was just an infant when a fire tore through his home, leaving him orphaned with severe burns over most of his body and face. It was a miracle he survived, but that was only the start of a long journey for this brave little boy.

After the tragic incident, Deyvion faced a lonely and painful recovery in the hospital. It wasn’t until he turned five that he became a foster child.
Enter Beth Plunkett, a single mother of two, who became Deyvion’s foster mom. She recalls, “I thought he was a beautiful little boy, and I fell in love with him very quickly.”
Beth often hears people say how lucky Deyvion is to have her. She humbly replies, “I’m just as equally lucky to have him.”
After spending 2,545 days without a permanent family, Deyvion finally got to call Beth his forever mom.

Beth shared her hopes for Deyvion: “I want him to be, most importantly, just happy. I want him to always feel loved and to have goals and reach them, and just do amazing things. I know he will because God definitely has an awesome plan for him.”
Deyvion’s new family, including his siblings, embrace him wholeheartedly. On the day of his adoption, he received a special visit from the fire department, complete with a custom jacket and hat.
We’re truly grateful that Deyvion found the help and love he needed. May his life be filled with people who continue to advocate for him and support his journey.
