A California woman named Shirley Tuter had an unforgettable 90th birthday by taking the plunge—quite literally—by going skydiving!
Shirley decided to mark this milestone in a very special way. SkyDance SkyDiving in Davis, California, captured the whole exhilarating event. In a video that has since warmed many hearts, Shirley is seen making the dive with a professional skydiver, both taking off from Yolo County Airport.
With a bright smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye, Shirley even joked, “I’m a dangerous broad,” before blowing a kiss to the camera and taking the leap.
Once she safely touched the ground, still beaming with joy, Shirley quipped, “It was fun. I may never walk again!”
Shirley’s son, John Lewis, mentioned to KXTV, the Sacramento ABC affiliate, that his mother is a cancer survivor and has always been a “spunky little lady.”
