Here’s how it unfolded: A man hated his wife’s cat with so much passion that he decided it was time to get rid of it once and for all.
He drove twenty blocks away from his home and left the cat there. But by the time the man approached his house, the cat was already back, strolling up the driveway.
The next day, he dropped the cat off forty blocks away, but to his surprise, the same thing happened—the cat got home before he did.
Determined to find a solution, he kept increasing the distance, but no matter how far he drove, the cat always made it back home first.
Finally, he decided to drive a few miles away, taking several turns—right, then left, over a bridge, another right, another left—until he found what he considered the perfect spot. He left the cat there and drove away, believing he had finally solved his problem.
Hours later, unsure of his own location, the man called his wife and asked, “Jen, is the cat there?”
