Lizzy Musi, a renowned street racer and stage 4 breast cancer patient, has tragically passed away after a courageous year-long battle. At the age of 33, Lizzy became an inspiration not just as a fierce competitor in the racing world, but also as a beacon of hope for women and girls everywhere.
Diagnosed with stage 4 triple-negative breast cancer, which is one of the most aggressive types, Lizzy never let her illness define her. She continued to compete and push boundaries, even after the cancer had spread to her lymph nodes and liver. Lizzy’s determination and positivity were truly incredible.
In her career, Lizzy achieved remarkable feats. In the 2019 season of Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings, she won three consecutive competitions, making her mark as the first woman to break the 200-mph mark in eighth-mile doorslammer racing. Her skill and speed were unparalleled.
But Lizzy’s impact extended far beyond the racing track. She shared her journey with the world, openly discussing her battle with cancer and offering a raw glimpse into her life. Her honesty and strength touched the hearts of many, and she became a role model for countless people.
Her passing has left a void in the racing community and in the lives of those who knew her. Fans and fellow racers have expressed their grief and offered their condolences to Lizzy’s family. One person wrote, “She was such an example for girls. I enjoyed watching her race.” Another fan praised her positive personality and the example she set for younger generations.
Lizzy was supported by her loving family throughout her battle, and she also found love and support in her boyfriend Jeffrey Earnhardt, grandson of famous NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt. Their relationship was an immense source of strength for Lizzy, and she expressed her gratitude for him publicly.
It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Lizzy Musi. Her legacy will live on in the racing world and her impact will continue to inspire others. We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and fans during this difficult time.
