John recently returned from an exhilarating safari in Africa and wasted no time in visiting his friend, Mark, to share his incredible tale:
“I was exploring the jungle,” John began, “when suddenly, I heard a rustling noise behind me.
Turning around, I saw an enormous lion, licking its chops and staring right at me with a grin.
The lion started advancing towards me, so I bolted, with the lion hot on my heels.”
“Just as the lion was nearly upon me, it slipped. This gave me a bit of an advantage, but soon it was gaining on me again.
As the lion got closer once more, it slipped again! Fortunately, I spotted a house in the distance and sprinted towards it.
With every ounce of energy left, I reached the house. The lion was almost on top of me, but it slipped for the third time at the last moment.
I dashed inside and slammed the door shut, just as the lion’s face almost made it through.”
“Wow, John! That’s an unbelievable story. I would have been scared out of my wits!” Mark exclaimed.
And John, with a grin, replied, “Well, WHAT DO YOU THINK THE LION KEPT SLIPPING ON?”
