Heartbreaking Tragedy: Little Girl, 6, Gone Too Soon!

A family from New Jersey is heartbroken after their 6-year-old daughter, Lucy Morgan, tragically passed away in a rare and unforeseen accident while they were on a family vacation.

The accident occurred while Lucy was watching her family play badminton. During the game, one of the racquets broke, and a piece of metal from it struck Lucy on her head, causing a severe brain injury.

Lucy’s father, Pastor Jesse Morgan, shared the details of this heartbreaking event on his blog, New Creation Living. He recounted how June 1st began as a typical day during their vacation in Limerick, Maine. However, the day took a tragic turn, leading Jesse to believe that Lucy is now in heaven with Jesus.

Following the injury, Lucy’s family quickly realized the severity of her condition. Jesse explained that after being struck by the metal piece, Lucy became unresponsive but remained breathing. Her mother, Bethany Morgan, accompanied her in an ambulance to a nearby hospital, from which Lucy was airlifted to Maine Medical Center in Portland. The situation was dire, and the fight for Lucy’s life began.

Despite the prompt medical attention and the immediate surgery Lucy underwent upon arriving at the hospital, the injury was too severe, and she did not recover.

Tragically, Lucy passed away early in the morning a few days following the accident.

Before the incident, Lucy had expressed her desire to be saved and live with God. Just a month earlier, she prayed for forgiveness and believed in Jesus’ life and resurrection.

The Morgan family has been overwhelmed with love and support from their community. Many people took to social media to share kind words and contributed generously to a GoFundMe page created to assist with the family’s expenses, raising over $125,000, far surpassing the initial goal.

Jesse Morgan expressed his deep gratitude for the community’s support, acknowledging the warm words and financial help from friends, family, and even strangers.

The fundraiser’s organizer, Jill Anthony, noted, “This page is here to provide financial support to help cover food, lodging for family members, medical bills, and any other needs they may have.”

She further shared, “On June 5, Lucy passed away and went to heaven. Please continue to keep the Morgans in your prayers as they navigate life without Lucy.”

We extend our deepest condolences to the Morgan family during this profoundly sad time.
