Happy Birthday Princess Lilibet. Only King Charles had a present for her, amid family feud

During the late Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee, Princess Lilibet had a rare encounter with her grandfather, King Charles. Despite the family tensions, King Charles made a special effort to send her a memorable birthday gift.

Tom Quinn, a renowned royal expert, revealed that Princess Lilibet got a unique present from King Charles on her third birthday today. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle hosted a grand celebration at their Montecito, California, home over the weekend, inviting close friends. However, due to the ongoing family feud, many notable figures were surprisingly absent.

Although King Charles wasn’t invited, he ensured he marked the occasion. He wrote his granddaughter a heartfelt message and sent her a gift. In the words of Quinn, “King Charles sent a gift and a message because he didn’t want to overlook Lilibet’s birthday entirely.”

The king has been saving a special gift for the day the family feud is mended. “He plans to give Lilibet something special, but not this year,” Quinn continued. In the past, he gifted Prince George a beautiful handmade wooden swing with George’s name engraved on it. “The current family discord and Meghan’s stipulated boundaries on acceptable gifts have limited the king’s options,” Quinn clarified.

Despite the family tensions, Lilibet’s party saw a host of celebrities, including Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry. Instead of lavish presents, Harry and Meghan opted for an extravagant pre-birthday bash at their California home. Perry and Bloom attended with their daughter Daisy, who is close in age to Lilibet.

The guest list featured celebrities like Ellen DeGeneres, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Oprah Winfrey, who are also neighbors to Harry and Meghan. Notably absent were any members of the Royal Family. “Shockingly, no members of the Royal Family received invitations to Lilibet’s party,” Quinn commented.
