N.Y.C. Hospital Goes Viral for Giving Out Luxury Bags as Gifts for New Moms — See What’s Inside! (Exclusive)

Chloe Tucker Caine detailed the high-end facial cleanser, perfume and lipstick she took home after delivering her daughter

After giving birth to her first child, Chloe Tucker Caine left the hospital with more than just the gift of motherhood. The brand new parent also took home a luxurious parting present courtesy of her medical team.

Caine — who stars as a realtor on Netflix’s Owning Manhattan — made a TikTok to detail the Chanel beauty products she received from the staff at Manhattan’s New York-Presbyterian Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns at Weill Cornell Medical Center. The branded satchel contained full-sized bottles of facial cleanser and perfume and a tube of red lipstick.

The social media creator tells PEOPLE that the goody bag came with a sweet and simple note as well, which read, “Congratulations on being a new mom. Here’s something special from the hospital.”

As she noted in her TikTok — which earned over 469,000 likes on the app — it took Caine about a month to open the generous gift pouch, since she was so busy introducing her daughter, Charley, to the world. She quipped about postpartum life during her video, admitting that she hadn’t washed her face “in days” as she unboxed the Chanel foaming cleanser.

When she dabbed on some of the lip rouge to sample its shade, Caine joked it was “perfect” for “hanging around the house, but I wanna feel something.”

Speaking to PEOPLE, the reality star emphasizes the reality of parenthood that kept her from opening up the high-end send-off satchel.

“I was not one of those new moms who took to newborn life super easily. It took me a few weeks to kind of get in the groove of everything and then open them,” she explains. “I haven’t really been using them yet because it’s perfume and it’s lipstick, and so I’m really only putting that on if we’re doing press for the show or photo shoots.”

Even though the New York City realtor didn’t have many reasons to initially use the products, she says they still brighten up her daily life. Caine says she propped them up on display in her bathroom.

“It’s nice to see every day. It just makes me feel really good and it’s just a great memory from giving birth,” she says, adding, “Sometimes if I feel like getting ready and I’m not in my PJ’s, I’ll throw some of the lipstick on.”

Coincidentally, she tells PEOPLE her business partner gave birth at the same hospital a few days before her, so Caine knew she’d receive the special package when she was discharged. Still, her expectations didn’t spoil the sentiment. In fact, it made her feel “connected to all the other new moms.”

“Being a new mom, you don’t realize how overwhelming the whole experience is. It’s so exciting, but it was a lot and I was already so emotional and so exhausted,” Caine recalls. “I just thought it was such a sweet and thoughtful gift from the hospital. It was such a small thing at the time that made me feel so good.”
