Two Women Arrested After Scamming Several Elderly Men Out Of Millions Of Dollars

A New York and Florida woman have been arrested and accused of scamming millions of dollars from over a dozen elderly men.

According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s office, Rosanna Lisa Stanley, 48, of N. Miami Beach, Florida, and Gina Guy, 38, of New York, New York, sought out elderly men, gained their trust, and then collected millions to fund their extravagant lifestyles.

The allegations in the complaint against Stanley and Guy are quite serious. Between 2009 and 2024, they defrauded and scammed at least 16 elderly men for over $7 million. They made the men believe they were in romantic or personal relationships and convinced them to transfer large amounts of money into their bank accounts.

The two women even lied to the men about needing money for their businesses. In one case, Guy claimed she needed funds for a kidney transplant.

Once they received the money, Stanley and Guy moved it to shell accounts to prevent it from being traced. They would then use the ill-gotten gains for their benefit, purchasing expensive cars and jewelry.

Both Stanley and Guy face several charges: one count of wire fraud, one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, one count of money laundering, and one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering. Each charge carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
