This outing follows closely on the heels of former President Donald Trump’s shocking conviction on 34 felony counts brought against him by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
As background, Melania has been notably absent from the public eye during this election cycle. Trump explained this by highlighting her preference for privacy, yet acknowledged her willingness to step into the spotlight for the sake of the country. Reflecting on her disposition, he commented, “It’s funny, she was a very successful model, very, very successful, and yet she was a private person. She’s going to be out a lot. Not because she likes doing it, but she likes the results.” He continued, “She wants to see this country really succeed. She loves the country.”
Trump also compared Melania’s essentially private nature to other First Ladies, stating, “You know, a lot of first ladies would go out — they want to be everywhere.
