So, yesterday Gypsy Rose Blanchard announced she’s pregnant with her first child with boyfriend Ken Urker.
In a YouTube video called “I’m Pregnant, My Journey So Far” Gypsy Rose said: “I know the rumours have been flying around for quite some time now, and I’m happy to announce that I am 11 weeks pregnant.” She is expecting their baby to be born in January 2025.
But alongside the announcement, Gypsy Rose also shared a link to her baby registry where she requested fans buy her items for the baby. Included in these items are a $600 pram, $529 cot and $270 baby swing. This is despite her having an estimated net worth of over $3 million (just over £2.3 million).
Gypsy Rose posted a link to the registry on both her Instagram and TikTok stories and gifts range from under $50 for things like baby bottles, a baby monitor, diapers and baby blankets to over $100 for things like a pram or cot. The registry page reads: “This is the REAL registry for Gypsy and Ken. Our special baby is arriving in January 2025! Anything truly helps us, we love you all so much.”
The most expensive item on the list is the $600 Chicco Modular Travel System which included a pram and cart seat. She also asked for not one but two different prams, both costing more than $300. The first is a $330 bassinet from the brand Graco that “detects and responds to baby’s cries to help soothe it back to sleep”.
Other items included a $69 set of wooden alphabet blocks, postpartum underwear for herself and a diaper bin for $240.
There was only one piece of clothing to make the wish lift, though, and Gypsy Rose must be a big Star Wars fan as it’s a $17 Baby Yoda onesie and matching hat set. She also listed a Baby Yoda-themed “security blanket” and a door sign that says “child sleeping’” on it.
All of the items listed on the registry have now been bought in less than a day, adding up to a total of thousands, but people are still able to send her a Babylist gift card and cash of any amount instead.
As of 2023, Gypsy Rose Blanchard is believed to have a net worth of over $3 million, a number which might have increased in recent months due to her recent reality show following her life.
Speaking about her pregnancy in detail in her announcement video, she said: “I know that there are going to be people who feel like I’m not ready to be a mother, and I don’t know if anyone’s really ready to be a mother.”
She then got emotional about the opportunity of being a loving mother to her child. “All the things that I wanted in a mother, I want to give to this baby,” she says while wiping her tears. Gypsy added, “I am a mother now, I am happy, and I just want to be a good mother for my child. I want to be everything my mother wasn’t.”
