Krispy Kreme Is Selling a Dozen Donuts for 87 Cents in Honor of Their 87th Anniversary

The cheap dozen comes with a purchase of a full-prized dozen

Krispy Kreme is celebrating their anniversary in a big way.

On Friday, July 12, customers can snag a dozen glazed donuts for just 87 cents. The low price honors the 87 years in business since the founder Vernon Rudolph first started selling donuts in grocery stores in 1937.

In order to snag the deal, customers must purchase any dozen at full price. Per a press release, visitors are limited to two 87-cent dozen donuts when purchased in-person and one cheap dozen when purchased online with the code “BDAY.”

July is a fun month for Krispy Kreme. The donut chain is celebrating Independence Day for the whole month with free specialty donuts every Tuesday and free iced coffee every Friday. To qualify for the deals, rewards members need to make any purchase.

On Tuesday, July 9, rewards members can choose from the Kit Kat collection — including the Kit Kat Crunch Donut, Kit Kat Cookie Dream Donut, and Kit Kat Salted Caramel Brownie Donut. The candy-inspired treats were first introduced in April as a limited-time option.

The free donuts on the following Tuesdays — July 15, 22, and 29 — will come from a different collection of specialty donuts. Krispy Kreme will make announcements on their social media pages to reveal which collection.

The Friday free iced coffee deal is good for any size coffee on July 12, 19, and 26.

Krispy Kreme is always innovating new flavors and treats. In June, they added a new assortment of donut dots to the permanent menu. Glazed dots were previously available, but now there are powdered dots, cinnamon dots, a sprinkle option and the cookie crumb flavor.

The new assorted donut holes are available to purchase in 10-count or 24-count cups.
