Jack, a handsome man, walked into a sports bar around 9:58 pm. He sat down next to a blonde lady at the bar and glanced up at the TV. The 10:00 pm news was on, and the news crew was covering a story about a man on a ledge of a tall building, contemplating jumping.
Curious, the blonde turned to Jack and asked, “Do you think he’ll actually jump?” Jack, feeling confident, replied, “You know what? I bet he will.” The blonde, a little skeptical, responded, “Well, I bet he won’t.”

The blonde was visibly upset and handed her $30 to Jack, saying, “Fair’s fair… Here’s your money.” Jack, being a gentleman, replied, “I can’t take your money. I saw this earlier on the 5 o’clock news and knew he would jump.”
To Jack’s surprise, the blonde responded, “I saw it too, but I didn’t think he would do it again.” Jack graciously accepted the money, appreciating the unexpected turn of events.
