Prince Harry’s Breaking Point: The Final Straw

Prince Harry was left "furious" after King Charles's "slap in the face", claims royal expert

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s rocky relationship with the British monarchy has been no secret. The couple sought to distance themselves from royal duties, ultimately relocating to the US. However, according to a royal expert, there was one particular incident that pushed Harry to his breaking point.

The decision that seemingly served as the catalyst for Harry and Meghan’s departure was King Charles’s order for them to vacate Frogmore Cottage, their royal base in the UK. This move came three years after the couple stepped down from their royal roles.

According to royal expert Tom Quinn, Harry saw his father’s decision as “vindictive.” In fact, Harry quietly changed his primary residence on the very day they were evicted from Frogmore Cottage. Quinn stated, “At the time, few people realized what a slap in the face the eviction from Frogmore felt like for Harry – it was the last straw.”

Harry was reportedly “absolutely furious and in tears” about being forced out of Frogmore. He felt that King Charles had no right to make such a decision and perceived it as a cruel rejection, reminiscent of his parents’ painful divorce.

The future of Harry’s relationship with his father remains uncertain. While they briefly reunited after Charles’s cancer diagnosis, it is unclear what lies ahead for them. Harry is set to return to the UK in May to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. Reports suggest that Prince William and Kate Middleton may not meet with him, but King Charles reportedly wants to spend time with his US-based grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
