Soap Opera Star Marnie Schulenburg Passes Away at 37

Marnie Schulenburg, best known for her memorable roles on the soap operas As The World Turns and One Life To Live, has sadly passed away at the age of 37. Her representative, Kyle Luker from Industry Entertainment, shared the heartbreaking news that Marnie lost her battle with breast cancer. For the past two years, she had been fighting against metastatic breast cancer with immense courage and determination.

Soap Opera Star Dies At Young Age

On May 8th, Marnie celebrated Mother’s Day by sharing a heartfelt Instagram post. The photo showed her reading to her two-year-old daughter, Coda. In the caption, she wrote, “It wasn’t a guarantee that I was going to be home this Mother’s Day. I got released late Friday night but had to be sent home with an oxygen machine.” Despite her challenging circumstances, Marnie expressed her desire to be a strong and beautiful mother for Coda, aiming to teach her important virtues such as compassion, strength, vivacity, humor, and joy, just as her own mother had taught her.

In addition to her iconic roles on soap operas, Marnie Schulenburg also made appearances in popular TV shows such as Blue Bloods, Army Wives, Royal Pains, Divorce, and The Good Fight. Her final acting role was on the Showtime drama City On A Hill, where she portrayed the character Maggie Caysen.

Marnie’s husband, actor Zack Robidas, shared a touching tribute to his late wife, asking people not to say that Marnie lost her battle to cancer because that simply wasn’t true. He spoke of the incredible strength and optimism she displayed every day since her diagnosis. Together, they chose to face the diagnosis with unwavering positivity, focusing solely on the future and moving forward. Although they weren’t sure if that was the right approach, it was the only way they knew how to deal with the situation.

Marnie Schulenburg’s passing is a tremendous loss for the entertainment industry and all those who knew and loved her. Her incredible talent and indomitable spirit will be greatly missed. Rest in peace, Marnie.
