Kate Middleton’s mom Carole “desperately” trying to shield her daughter after devastating new blow

The Royal Family is currently going through a challenging time, especially with the ongoing cancer battles of King Charles and Kate Middleton. Kate’s situation has been closely followed, with speculation about her sudden absence from the public eye and the abdominal procedure she underwent in January. Unfortunately, the Middleton family is now facing more difficulties, as Kate’s mother, Carole Middleton, is struggling to protect her daughter from the devastating debt burdening their family business.

According to a report in The Times newspaper, Carole and Michael Middleton are dealing with significant debts that they cannot pay off. Their company, Party Pieces, has accumulated about £260,000 (over $329,000) in insolvency firm costs. The firm has confirmed that the Middletons are unable to pay off the total fees. Party Pieces was launched in 1987 and experienced considerable success before going into administration last June. The Middletons reportedly owe creditors a hefty sum of £2.6 million.

Amidst this situation, Carole is doing everything she can to ensure that Kate focuses solely on her recovery. The family is not seeking assistance from their children and wants them to avoid worrying. The bond between Catherine and her parents is strong, and they check in with each other regularly. However, discussions about the business are off-limits as Kate needs to prioritize her health.

Royal commentator Afua Hagan explained, “Carole will be doing all she can right now to stop her daughter from stressing as she undergoes chemotherapy. It’s a stressful time, and she will be pulling out all the stops to shield her daughter. While Party Pieces collapsing has been devastating for the family, Carole’s primary concern is Kate’s well-being.”

Prior to her marriage to Prince William, Kate worked as a project manager at Party Pieces. However, her career there ended shortly before the royal wedding in 2011. Unfortunately, Party Pieces faced significant challenges in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in a loss of $316,000. Carole attempted to find a buyer who would not only take the business forward but also honor outstanding debts. She has expressed disappointment and accountability for stepping back and trusting someone else to run her decades-old business.

Currently, Carole is providing major support to her daughter as she undergoes preventative chemotherapy treatment for her cancer diagnosis. Carole has been staying with Kate to help her in her recovery. Our hope is that these struggles do not impact Kate Middleton’s well-being during this difficult time.
