Angelina Jolie Alleges Physical Abuse by Brad Pitt Started Before Plane Incident

Once considered the golden couple of Hollywood, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s relationship has since taken a dark turn. The headlines surrounding them now mainly focus on the negative aspects of their divorce and the ensuing court battles.

New court documents have claimed that Brad Pitt’s alleged “physical abuse” towards his ex-wife started before the infamous 2016 plane incident. Their once strong bond has shattered into pieces, with public scrutiny as the backdrop.

In 2022, Pitt sued Jolie and her former company Nouvel over the sale of a French winery they co-owned. Pitt claimed that Jolie’s actions had jeopardized the business he had carefully built. Jolie responded with allegations of abuse during a plane ride from France to California in 2016. She accused Pitt of physically harming her and their children.

Days after the plane journey, Jolie filed for divorce, and their separation was finalized in 2019. Pitt has denied the accusations, and while federal authorities launched an investigation, no criminal charges were filed.

New reports reveal that Jolie’s legal team submitted fresh documents to the Los Angeles Superior Court, claiming that the abuse started earlier than previously thought. These documents state that “Pitt’s history of physical abuse of Jolie started well before the family’s September 2016 plane trip.” Jolie immediately left him following the incident.

The court papers do not provide further details about the alleged abuse but mention Jolie’s intention to prove her claims through testimony, emails, photographs, and other evidence. Additionally, Jolie’s legal team alleges that Pitt wanted her to sign a non-disclosure agreement as a condition for purchasing her share of the French winery. This agreement would have prevented Jolie from speaking about Pitt’s abuse of her and their children.

Pitt’s team has yet to respond to Jolie’s filing about the abuse allegations preceding the plane incident. However, a source close to the actor has stated that Jolie consistently introduces misleading and irrelevant information to distract from the truth. They also mention a custody trial where the judge granted Pitt 50/50 custody after considering the entire history of their relationship.
