Dan Mozer, a soon-to-be father, had the brilliant idea of taking maternity photos with his wife, Angelina, at Atlantic Beach in Jacksonville, Florida. This beach is beloved by locals and known for its picturesque beauty. Dan felt inspired and asked Angelina to pose with the ocean as a stunning backdrop.
As Dan lifted his camera to capture this special moment, an unexpected surprise happened in the background. Just at the right moment, a dolphin leaped out of the water! Dan couldn’t believe his luck. He never expected to capture such a remarkable shot of his pregnant wife with a dolphin jumping in the background.
“When I took it, I was like, ‘Oh, my God!’ Unfortunately, she totally missed it,” Dan shared with AWM. The couple humorously credits their son, Courtland, who was born on January 27th, for summoning the dolphin from his mother’s belly.
This magical moment was pure serendipity. Someone alerted the couple to the presence of dolphins in the area. As they saw the dorsal fins, a dolphin suddenly jumped out of the water, not once but twice. Dan captured the first jump, and it became the highlight of their maternity photo shoot.
Despite Courtland’s apparent connection with dolphins, Dan and Angelina have no plans to change their son’s name to Dolph Finn, as some have suggested. They consider the picture a unique and incredible memory of their pregnancy journey.
