Last Friday, Princess Kate bravely announced that she had been diagnosed with cancer after undergoing abdominal surgery in January. The news shocked the world and garnered an outpouring of support from royal fans. As a mother of three and a beloved national figure, Kate has become a senior royal in her own right since marrying Prince William in 2011.
Throughout 2024, rumors about Kate’s health have been circulating, fueled by wild imaginations and conspiracy theorists. However, her decision to go public with her diagnosis should, hopefully, put an end to the speculations. Now, the media and the public can allow her to recover on her own terms, while her family provides the strongest support network.
Unfortunately, it seems that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were kept in the dark about Kate’s diagnosis and subsequent announcement. Reports suggest that the couple, who have distanced themselves from the Royal Family since stepping down from their royal duties and moving to the US, found out about the news “at the same time as the public.”
In a brief statement, Harry and Meghan expressed their well wishes: “We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.”
While Meghan had reportedly reached out to Kate following her surgery, it appears that she and Harry are not being kept informed about her health issues. The Royal Family’s lack of trust in the couple seems to be the reason for this exclusion.
